I took some pics of my 79 KZ1000E1 ST (shaft) project bike when I disassembled but didn't take enough apparantly. I should have taken a photo of the battery box area. Didn't figure I needed to since I also have a 1980..... but the 80's fuse box is completely different than the 79s. The 79 has a plastic fuse box body about 3 inches across and uses modern type mini-fuses that push into place. It has what appears to be a slot on one side which might be a mount but also has two mounting holes on the bottom. The 80 has a more normal "fuse box" that sits on the back of the battery box and is very much like the fuse box on my KZ900s... it is just a box that snaps open and holds glass barrel type fuses. I have a 79 factory service manual and a Clymers and neither pictures the fuse block. Where and how does the fuse block mount? There are NOT corresponding mount holes spaced the same on the battery box.
