81 KZ1000 LTD stalls with clutch out.

I recently got my grandfathers 1981 kz1000 Ltd following his passing.. He had a trike kit on it that I immediately removed (it was falling apart). I’ve got the bike to start and run but when I got to let the clutch all the way out it stalls. If I ride the clutch it will continue to drive. Obviously he removed both stands when he installed the trike kit.. is there a kick stand safety switch somewhere? Does anyone know the wires to bypass it with?

It should be right around the kickstand area. either 2 wires (likely) or 1 wire (unusual) that grounds. if it opened, it wouldn't stall it (on the 1 wire type) cause it's likely opened (cut) when converted
