Last winter my bike sat out in the cold. Now I have just gotten back from Korea and threw the battery on a charger. It got 12v 2a for a night then I put it on the bike and yeah nothing seems to work. The lights come on but are dim and the blinkers won't blink.
My question is, is the battery toast? It reads 14vts when I toss the meter on it.

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

You have to measure battery under load as many times a dead battery will still seem fine by volts test with nothing loading it, so turn on the key and try to start the engine while measuring right at the battery terminals. If volts fall well below 12v the battery is dead. Sounds like a dead battery, these small batteries don't like cold or sitting uncharged for long periods of time.

The lights represent a total load of maybe 70 - 80 Watts, or about 7A drain current. The didm lights mean the battery voltage is sagging severely even at that light load. If you have filled the battery with water and let it charge thoroughly prior to doing this, the battery is toast. The lights come on but are dim
