I'm probably asking the obvious, but my 77' KZ1000A gas tank has a new Pingle dual outlet fuel petcock. The ( 2 ) fuel lines leaving go to the stock carb. ( 2 ) fuel Tee's . The used set of carbs. I have and am planning to mount down the road are 28mm accelerator pumpers. They only have a single ( 1 ) fuel inlet on the carbs.

So my question is, do I run 2 fuel lines from the petcock to a Y-splitter, then a single ( 1 ) fuel line to the fuel T on the carbs. ? Hate to loose my New Pingle fuel petcock.

Use the splitter. Is the line to the carbs larger?

Steve, The fuel line that I'm using will slide over the fuel T at the carbs. and splitter tightly . Will use some fuel line clamps if needed . I was just trying to avoid purchasing another fuel petcock .

I say do it. If you can come up with a fuel resistant cap for one of the barbs on the fuel valve, you would have a more elegant solution. You would want to be sure that the single line is the same inside diameter, or larger, than stock to insure sufficient flow.

The only experience I have with a dual outlet petcock is on my 71 CL350. interesting to note that it will only flow fuel out of one hole at a time if only one line is drawing fuel. Plug that line and fuel comes out the other outlet. I found that out when I was trying to drain my tank for removal. I hope that makes sense? So I vote for the "Plug one outlet and use a single line to the carbs keeping the Pingle".
Don't fix it until it's broken.
