The Kawasaki dealer nearest to me sold imperial sizes, not metric. The place is defunct.

7mm would probably be a tight fit.

8mm = 0.315" --- (8/25.4)
5/16" = 0.313"

6mm = 0.236" --- (6/25.4)
1/4" = 0.25"
