Use ON most of the time, whether or not you're riding the bike. It should not leak fuel when set to ON or RES.

Vacuum petcock: PRI bypasses the diaphragm to allow fuel to flow - engine running or engine off. Use PRI to prime or fill the carbs.

dontheveakkawman, use some common sence, I know you have a lot of it ! just get a longer overflo tube, open your gas cap & stick it in, that way it'll leak back into your tank, when you want to go for a ride, tie the overflo tube around your exshast pipe, so you dont run it over, & your good to go

I could just run the hose from the overflow into the clean air for the exhaust.

Make sure to have a friend take a video of your ride. I'm sure that will end quite well.

Hey bud, I have a 83 gpz750 that had same problem last fall. First the petcock is vacumn operated and is supposed to prevent that problem so you have to address that, i bought a rebuild kit from ebay which solved mine, it was paint particles from tank. Second the needles and seats in you r carb control the level of fuel and should also prevent gas from leaking, on mine it filled the #1 cylinder with gas and caused a massive backfire which blew out my head gasket, I'm in the process of fixing that now. So my advice is to address both of those issues asap to prevent any further damage...

This just happened to me. Never had any trouble when on the center stand but recently I went on a one month trip and left it on the side stand and when I returned it started leaking. What causes that? Stuck float?

Float is not stopping the fuel flow properly. Could be debris fouling the needle, worn out float needles (rubber tip), spring in the needle getting weak, etc.
