If the seat has a metal pan, it can have shorted the main power leads, bypassing any fuses.

Ok. Found the short, where the colored connectors go through the metal bracket under the left side cover, the wire on the other side of the solid brown wire, is ground out against the bracket...

Wires fixed, floats set, battery charged. Misfire gone! Picks the front wheel off the ground from a slow roll! Running lights not working... Fuel guage started working though...

All is good. I have a clear purolator fuel filter, and after putting about 200 miles on it, it looks fairly dirty. I guess I'll re flush my tank and put a new filter on.
