Damnit I still cant find a leak anywhere. This is really pissing me off.

Anyone else have any suggestions as to a location for air intrusion on these BS34's???

Have you had the carbs off and measured the butterfly to bore on each, to see if the offender is getting more air/ signal?

Have you checked the diaphragms for pin holes?

I've had an annoying little spit back through either #1 or #2 carb this past few weeks. Only noticeable when I started the bike first and the choke was on. I played with the mixture screws and no good. I was confident the vacuum caps were solid but I got new ones on Saturday morning anyway and put them on. Also replaced the vacuum line to petock as I think the hose clip had gouged a wee hole. I think it's fixed. I hope it's fixed. Replacing the vacuum caps was $5 . worth a try ?

Swapped the vacuum caps (all four capped w/on - off petcock). Still no change... :( :silly:

Thanks for all the replies, but the problem still persists.

I just cant figure out where the extra air is coming from.

It's a strange mystery defying my sense of being!

:P

Still runs good, once tuned up - just frustrated the hell out o' me.
