HELP!!!!!!

My 77 KZ650C has mikuni carbs that I believe are either VM 22's or 24's. Its wierd cuz the only jets they have are the main jets. There are no pilot jets. The slots are there but they are not threaded and never had anything in them. The bike runs ok but just wanted to know if someone can tell me what they are and why there is no need for anything but the main jets. It does have air screws on the outside.

77 KZ650C airpods and 4 into 2 turn outs exhaust. VM carbs

82 550 LTD all stock except air pods

those are 24s with the rare pink tops,very sought after in trianglelagunas area! :laugh:

VM24.
Pilot Jet is part #35, size #15 pilot.

Without a pilot jet, the bike would not run at idle off choke.

Well, it must be the only one lol. I have ridin it daily for the past few years. Like i said, it runs good but has nothing in the slots and are NOT threaded to even accept one.

are you sure they werent sealed at the factory,california bike?

lol, it looks kinda pink dont it? Bad lighting in the garage but they are red to match the bike lol.

no i mean i wonder if the jets were sealed from the factory to keep people from playing with them,smog motor stuff

I looked in the slots and there absolutely nothing in there. It has the little hole where the end of the jet would go thru but there is nothing and not even threaded.

HA HA you got pink carbs put em on your girlfreinds bike or maybe sell em at a grade 5 lemonaid stand.or just clean em up with some mothers and dont say anything to anyone.
But for real they are VM 24s rare as dirt

LOL its cool, the bad lighting DOES make em look pink but its really red lol. It is just freakin me out about the lack of the jet but it runs decent. Ur also right that maybe I should change em and get some more power outta this sucker.
