yes, running cold plugs can cause them to foul.

When you cleaned the carbs did you try to squirt some carb cleaner through the pilot passages in the bowl? You should be able to spray some down through the pilot jet (or remove the jet before spraying) and see it come out the other side.

Not to throw a monkey wrench in, but since you say it is idling fine, the problem may not be pilot related. Pilot circuit effects from idle up to about 1/4 throttle. But your problem is acceleration right?

Have you checked and adjusted the timing with a strobe light? Check it both at idle and under throttle. The procedure is outlined in the shop manual if you have one.

If you haven't done those two you're just spinning your wheels.

I finally found the problem. I replaced the condensor and now it runs great!!!!
