how are 82 KZ 1100 carbs different from mine?

i swapped out the KZ1100 carburetors that came with my 81' KZ1000 for the ones off of my dad's stock 1981 KZ1000 and my bike went from sickley and dead to absolute monster in like 5 minutes. It idled fine and even revved up. It was ready to go to california if i wanted it to:) I was wondering if there were any big differences with the 1982 KZ1100 carbs from the 1981 KZ1000 carbs. I rebuilt the 1100 carbs with KZ1000 carb kits. the part # was 18-2436 for the kits i used. All the parts fitted perfect. Even came with new idle jets. The bike would run but really badly and you couldn't even revv wwith the 1100 carbs in it. When i put the 1981 KZ1000 carbs on the bike, it would revv and everything. It idle perfectly and it ran like it was new. Are there extra vacuum ports on those KZ1100 carbs that i wasn't using that need to be hooked up for the carbs to work right? I think im going to buy new carbs. Found a set on ebay for 30 bucks and it only has 1 day left on the auction. I think those carbs are just the wrong ones for that bike. There were no leaks on the manifold boots and the KZ1000 carbs worked perfect WITHOUT an airbox so i think that there is an extra vacuum port on those 1100 carbs that was for something on the 1100 and are ports i can't use on my KZ1000 because theres no place to hook them up to. I found to vacuum ports that weren't doing anything so i plugged them. I could try unplugging them but then they might suck air and dirty up the carbs:/ what do you guys think I should do?

KT, man it could be that those carbs you rebuilt, weren't totally clean. If your lucky enuf to get those carbs for thirty bucks off ebay, you can run them as is, but you'll most likely have to rebuild those too...

the add said that they were ready to go. I know that there were no blockages in the carburetors that i rebuilt. I sprayed carb cleaner through them after i soaked them in the cleaner for an hour each. The cleaner sprayed right through all the ports. my mechanic gave me that part number and said that the kits should work in those carbs. I'm just gonna buy new carburetors.

I have received carbs from professionally cleaned carburetor restorers that still had blocked jets...so what you might consider as 'no blockages' might still be blocked.
