Very easy to tell if it is a carburetor problem. Put a match to the residue or the exhaust itself while the bike is running. If it lights and blows like a torch it is a carburetor problem if not it is another problem.

Whoa... Ok this is somewhat hard to follow where how in the hell could it run well with no jet is beyond me... Then, no jet was only for the image....:S
Anyhoot, glad the problem seems fixed due to Keith... Awesome mi amigo, way to go!
Keith now is known as K1 Coil Mod.... :woohoo:
OMR
BTW... If you want to see if oil & gas is mixed.... Scoop up a little of that mixture, places it in an open steel pan, bowl what ever and take a match to it to see if it lights.... Oil won't ignite, gas will!

Just an observation here... hard to tell from the audio on my PC but did you sync the carbs with a set of vacuum gauges?
If so, good stuff. Ride long and peacefully.
If not and my ear is correct in picking up some flutter in the idling and cam chain slap, then you may be able to significantly improve the idling (don't ask...).
Then again it could all be in my hearing.
Best of success,
Bill

Congrats on your great troubleshooting as documented in this thread. Must feel great to have gone through so much and come out on top. Way to go.

I just want to thank everyone for the posts. All the help is greatly appreciated.
My problem all along was a missing needle jet in carb 1.
I sent them to Keith1 on here and he cleaned them up replaced the needle jet and a bunch of other parts. He cleaned and polished the carbs and they look great and the bike runs awesome now.
here is a video of the bike running now and it shows my nice clean and shiny carbs.
