throttle controls

ok i am takin off my carbs to clean them and rebuild.. I am still waitin on my REPAIR MANUAL to get here so i do not have one.... I need some help on how to remove the linkage from the carbs? they are just stock original carbs.. how do i get them off so i can get the carbs out

what kind of bike do you have.

78 KZ1000 work in progress in Hacienda Heights California and a 82 KZ1100 Spectra And a 1992 ZX11.

If you are taking about disconnecting the throttle cables from the carbs you would loosen up the 10mm nuts and loosen up the adjusters to get some slack in the cables and work them loose
