Carb options for my 810 build

So, its been brought to my attention numerous times now that BS34's are too big for my engine to perform well on the street. Is there anything short of CR29's that I should consider? I really dont have the extra cash for CR's right now, and I do already have a set of BS34's. Should I just run them for a year until I can afford CR's? Or is there something else?

Those should not be too big. With the proper jetting they should perform excellent.

Where can you get stacks with screens for BS34's? Need some long-ish stacks so I don't lose my bottom end.

K&N Pod filters have stacks built into them. BS34s came on the stock KZ750 they should be very good for an 810 build. I run them on a 1150 motor and I love them. The bigest trick are the needles. You have to have the right ons. I do have some needles for that application. Also they must be modified for the right Vacuum to the top of the diaphragms if you are planning on running Pods especially if you plan on running just stacks. Otherwise they will not respond fast enough. I had to mod mine and I have a motor that has tremendous vacuum. I believe that SUDCO also has stacks.
