Another easy jetting question
11 Dec 2009 06:15
Just finished complete top end on 73 Z1 motor. New guides ,seals complete valve job. Cyl. got minor hone new rings.
Stock 73 carbs 112.5 mains,20 pilots, 3 clip and Stock airbox.
Only change from stock is either a 4-1 yoshimura with baffle or a new Kerker.
Once everything is together I don't want to mess with anything
Should I richin the main jet one to 115? or 117.5?
thanks in advance

I could be wrong here but I am of the understanding that for each mod (pipe, pods, etc) go up 2 sizes for a ballpark starting point.

1 size up should be ok, but 2 might be required depending on some conditions. You will have to swap them and see...
You will have to add some more fuel to the pilot circuit however (via air/fuel screws), to prevent popping on decel.
Cheers.
