The idea is to get the vacuums on all four carbs as even as possible. Ideally, all with same number.
FSM specs for the large Kaw fours is from 20~28 cm Hg, with less than 2 cm Hg difference between any two cylinders.
Good Luck!

An update:
Have the bike back running (although still fighting electrical problems)
The carbs are right for the first time since I've had it. We were never able to get the carbs to synch properly before, they're perfect at last. For the first time, there's none of that drive chain noise associated with unsynched carbs.
It rides perfectly, running perfectly and smoothly from idle up to redline in every gear.
What's odd is, we put the stock jets back in, so despite having pods and a 4-1 header, there are no problems.
It's a little light on power, which I think may be caused by a semi-lean condition, but there's not the slightest bit of popping or backfiring, even at 10,000 rpm.
Once we get the electrical problems solved, I'll do some plug chops and find out where I'm at, but unless it's dangerously lean, I doubt I'll mess with the jetting. Economy is more important to me than power, so a little lean isn't a problem for me.
