Which dynojet kit?

I am buying some pods for my 1982 kz1000 LTD and am having a little trouble choosing which dynojet kit to get.

www.dynojet.com/jetkits/motorcycle/kawasaki.aspx

If you scroll down and see the 81-83 LTD/CSR1000 there is only one choice, BUT I have a set of J cams in it, so I think the ELR/J kits would apply right? Secondly, I have a choice between stage 1 and 3, if I have stock J cams, pods, and a 4-1 would I be better suited with the stage 1? The only difference seems to be the main jet...

Thanks for answering my played out question!

The LTD/CSR 1000 kit, is for the BS34's that you have, and will work fine with the J cams.

Go with the stage 3 kit, as it covers pods either with or without a highflow exhaust.

I believe the part number is 2301 ...

Cheers!

Good luck.

But the J and ELR have BS34's as well don't they? and would the kit for the J or ELR not complement my cams better than the LTD kit since I have J cams now?

yes, the J had BS34's, and the ELR as well I believe.

And yes, you are correct, I thought something else for a moment there...

The ELR/J kit would be better suited for your application as I realise your refering to the bike, not the motor

The stage 3 kit would be best, again for your new setup. The stage 1 kit only covers a drop in filter, which would not be enough main for your pods.

Cheers
