Whats up folks? Just wanted to know if there is an easy way too place the carb assembly between the intake and exhaust? Im working on a 1977 KZ650B1. Thanx for your time and efforts ... PEACE Larry

If the air box carb boots are in good condition, they can usually be rolled back over themselves. Or folded flat slightly...

Then just wedg'em in! :laugh: Without breaking anything of course.:P

If your boots are soft this is a piece of cake. If your boots are hard..well..get new boots. ;)

soaking the boots in very hot water will make them a lot softer.

I roll off the springs and then pull the boots back into the air box. Then install the boots through the air box. My boots have been replaced so they are soft. If yours are 30 years old and hard as a rock then it's pretty much a PITA how ever you do it. ;)
