Refresher: Terminology 101 ---
Sometimes the term carb boot is loosely used when referring to either the airbox intake hose located on the carb's intake side OR the carb holder located between the carb and engine.
With the stock airbox, the airbox intake hose connects the airbox to intake side of the carb.
Where the airbox has been replaced with pod filters, then the airbox intake hoses aren't used anymore.
Regardless of air filtration system on intake side of carbs (whether airbox or pods, or intake stacks or nothing), the carbs are held onto the engine by the carb holders, which carb holders are sometimes also refered to as carb manifolds.
The terms "airbox intake hose" and "carb holder" are used by Z1 Enterprizes in describing these different parts.
The critical air leak issues are usually associated with the carb holders.

Inlect ducts connect the carbs to the airbox.
So... carb holders & airbox ducts.

I bought new ones,figured screw it why take the chance of em being crappy.
Current bike..1977 kz1000 1075cc kit,dyna everything,lotsa chrome,kerker pipe.
