Temporary Gas Supply Question

Hey everyone I am looking to crank up my bike and make sure it is in good running order while my tank still needs to be cleaned thoroughly internally and painted externally. When hooking up an external tank without a petcock, what do I need to do? My carbs have a vacuumm line that I do not know what to do with and obviously i have the main fuel line. Do I need to block off the vacuumm line? Is fuel just going to rush into the carbs like it is on the PRI position? I guess I'm unsure of vacuumm anything that could prevent me from getting fuel properly to the carbs.

I want to know how it is done so I don't try to clean the carbs 100 times and think its a carb issue.

Thank you!

A wooden golf tee makes for a good temporary plug for a gas or vacuum line.

Ahhh I never even thought of a golf tee. Good idea! Do I have to block off the vacuumm line to carbs then?

Excellent thank you! I just wanted to rule that out, I have to go back and check float heights. I suspect that's my issue!
