Fuel sensor leak ??

my fuel sensor wires are dripping with gas from where they fit into the tank
i guess they ain't fitting well enough into the gas tank.

any ideas, should i just rip em out and seal up the holes.
Or is there a less destructive way of fixing it !!!

i went and bought new nylon washers and it sealed up my sensor leak.
