If cleaning the carbs helped and then the problem started again after a little while, is it possible there is rust or some other crud migrating from the tank to the carbs? You may want to put in a fuel filter (if it doesn't have one) and clean the carbs one more time to see if the problem stays gone. Ed

yes it will cause a miss if the filters aren't suppling enough fuel to the carb's make sure when you get another filter that it will flow enough fuel a small lawnmower type generally wont try find ing one thatt you can take apart and clean that has a brass washable element in it russel makes a good one that you should be able to get from places like auto zone or pep boy's.

It's hard to say. If someting is clogging up the idle circuit I guess it's possible that it could get into other areas. When you re-cleaned the carbs, did you find any dirt, rust, or crud in there that looked like it might be causing the problem? Ed
