Sync carb with one vaccum gauge?

Hi all,

I've been looking around for a carb sync gauge. I called a local auto shop and they said they only have 1 vaccum gauge.

I am wondering if it is possible at all to use only one vaccum gauge to sync all 4 of my carbs on my 80 KZ750H

Thanks

Accurately... NO!

One carb tweak (adjustment) effects the other... You'd be chasing this all over the place and to dial them in with confidence and for a specification of setting 2cm Hg between each other....

Just would seem to be impossible for any degree of accuracy...

But hey, WTF do I know for some other may have had some success in this concept....

The one gauge method might just create another ax murderer. Check out the thread, "carb sync without gauges."

I think you nailed it, a change on one changes the others so you'd be going in circles.

That would be a very good example of "pissing in the wind".

You'll be there for ages trying to do it with one guage. Forget it. Either buy guages or have a mechanic do the job.

you have to be able to see what all the carbs are doing at the same time in order to know if the change you made to one will have an effect on the others as larry put it so well with one gauge your pissing in the wind and chasing your own tail and just the dog that does you will never catch up.
