from what i've been told..the mains should be...round head with screw driver slot..pilots may be but there are a few different styles...ask me how i know..

having both, ill tell you the pilots on bs34 are a lot shorter and totally different from vm28 pilots...the mains look the same but i havent tried to put one in the other....

the main jets are the same you can mix and match no problem most of the mikuni street carbs take the same type of jet.
