either/coldstart,warm easy start

z1 big bore k12 dyna s 28mm mikuni.When it is cold it takes a few kicks and some either to start ,once warm pops right off.Whats wrong?Thanks in advance.p.s. when timing ignition w/a timing light at idle I cant get the pointer to line up over the f mark on the advance.Help

Are you sure your "starter plunger" (choke) system is working properly and everything related to it is clean? Ed
