Try Calling on the phone to WGCARBS, and see what he says.
His page link is on the right hand side of KZR, he is a forum sponsor and specializes in this.

Edit: I see your post on the other forum, where you went to several suppliers already looking for these. I did a search and NLA seems to be the common term. But if George is getting them, maybe having them made? Not sure. Tough one.

I did call and spoke with George.

He told me that the grommets are reserved for customers of carb rebuilds. I told him that my carbs had recently been rebuilt with the exception of the shaft seals. He apologized for not being able to sell me parts. When asked where I might find some, he told me to check his links page which I did. Currently I have emails out to just about everyone I can think of regarding these darned things.

are we talking the two rubber grommets , one on each end of the throttle shaft assembly that covers the holes on each end of the outside carbs?

No, I think those two are referred to as "plugs" we are trying to find the 6 grommets that fit both sides of the two inside carbs and the throttle shaft side of the two side carbs.

Do you have experience finding the parts to rebuild them. It seems the people that do, do not want to talk about it. I personally am a college student who was given a kz900 as a present from my father after returning from the gulf in 03. It hardly ran and I am trying to honor his generosity by rebuilding the thing. I currently have the carbs completely rebuilt with the exception of this dang grommet. I understand that people are trying to make money but Ill sooner pay to have a backup supply of custom grommets made before I pay someone 300 bucks to do a job I have already done (rebuilding my carb) just so they can install the parts they were unwilling to sell.

Sorry, but I am bitter about my current obstacle. I love this bike but am hating this hang up.
