From the cross-reference at Partzilla for the KZ900-A4, the part was only used on the KZ900. Turn signal alarm 27040-002.
eebbaayy pics.

....

Some KZ400s also had a turn signal alarm, but it's different w different part number. It probably functions the same. 27040-001.

Rolf, I've a few of them, all work with new sheath and 3-pin female connector/terminals.

I used one for one week. Sounded like a drowning duck.   There is also a heat sync in the system inline. With the bulbous switch, the annoying sound emitted from the "beeper", extra relay I tore it all off and never looked back.
The later models have the switch in the switch block which looks much better than the add on KZ 900 setup.

Funny Steve, yes annoying for sure!! I only install them when doing "correct restorations". And they kinda clog up the area when attached under the Stanley headlight bucket. But if ya gotta have one then ya gotta have one. A "distressed" mating duck call perhaps, he.

I was wondering about that i think i have seen some kawas with some  big strange looking switch on the stearing handle like a pull or push switch .Is that needed  for the buzzer relay??

Steve/Rolf what "i'm thinking" what you both are referring to is the Hazard Switch which was only used on the 76-77 KZ900A/B models. That switch clamped down to the RH side of the handlebar clamp. Rolf you will note a connecting block connector in the harness that accepts this. If You are using an original 76 wiring harness.

Here's a reference to how these two bits connect, Hazard and Piezo-electric "turn buzzer", in the harness. Note the extra length, under the tank, of a 3-pronged/4-connector block. Like Mikaw, i just redo the original harnesses. Don't waste money on aftermarket crap.

They will work without it. You'll have two orange wires and connector at the front of the loom.

Yes Steve, one brown and one orange, for that buzzer. Got to thinkin" Steve, perhaps it's a mating call to reach out all of the other buzzer equipped versions, maybe they can recognize the frequency and somehow gather in a flock, ha. Anyway..Here's a sampling Rolf of a completed 1976-77 battery box if it helps. Note also you have that extra finned 3 outlet module. Just for reference. Actually this is for a 1976 Z2 750 but they are identical.
