Press out liners

I gave up filling the Racecrafter with oil and stripped the top end.The pistons and bore are in spec.Bore is 70.05mm.The rings are knackered so will be replaced and the valve seals too.Valve guides are good but one was abit loose in the head.(so that's where the noise came from).Cylinder no2 was fouling a plug every 25km and was filthy with burnt oil.I noticed a small ridge halfway down no2 bore. Its about 30mm long across the cylinder not up and down.I want to build it right this time (still low budget)so I was gonna replace the liner with a spare I have on an old set of cylinders.A rebore is out of my reach unfortunately. What the method used to press out a liner? At work I have access to a 5000kg press and an oven.I think a blow torch would be better to localise the heat(how much heat).Or should I take it to a bike shop (horrors). The local yamaha dealer used to race a zed in the 70's so he's good to ask and has helped in the past.I was sick when he told me He chucked all his zed spares away when he moved shops!!!!!!

Aluminum has a coefficient of linear expansion that is twice that of the steel or iron sleeve.

Sleeves are interference fit.

Al 23 PPM/degree C
Fe 11 PPM/degree C

difference is about 12PPM/deg C.

250-300C will get you roughly 0.01mm radial clearance.
Put it in the oven.

yep like duck said stick it in oven and heat her up.when you go to reinstall sleeves put the sleeves in freezer to cool them off that will shrink em just a little put the barrel in the oven to warm it up which will expand it a little and drop it over the sleeves ;)
