Very Very Slow KZ1000P
06 Oct 2006 15:47
Hello Fellas,
I have a 1993 KZ1000P. This bike starts up on the first try and will run all day long. The only problem is that it will not go over 50mph. It will take off from a stop and blow away every car truck and motorcyle on the road, but once I hit 50 mph, that's it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
MooseVegas

check your spark advancer, they get rusty sometimes. use a timing light to watch it while it revs

I wondered about the sprockets too, because it's like driving an old pickup truck with a 4:11 rear end. Hell, I once hooked up to and pulled a car uphill with this bike.
For the guy who asked..yeah I'm in vegas
