it's a '77 KZ1000, soon to have a badass new makeover look, all in black.

what exaust do i put on it (has to be black...) that is hopefully 4-1, angled up instead of straight back like stock, and produces a good healthy snarl... not a purr like factory, and not a harley pop, and not a crotch rocket whine.

what thinkest thou?

Do they still make Kerker's? If so, they had the sound and you get them in black, or if all else fails, buy a good used chrome hearder and paint it black...after being sure to rough up the chrome...sandblasting being a good way.

Maybe not available in black, but a Hindle pipe is the best sounding pipe in my humble opinion. Humble, yeah right!!!!

I have an older Hindle race pipe (had to cut off centre stand mount, pipe has to come off for oil change), replaced the 12" straight through can with a later Hindle "so called" Stealth can.
It snarls.
Hindle or Kerker - either will give you the "sound", and a definite hp gain.

To achieve equal length header pipes, don't all the best pipes go straight under motor and take shortest didtance to rear, creating either/or centerstand and oil filter access issues?
