last time I did this I used a straight set. Are the angled feelers long enough?

I bought some guage stock from MSC. Only need a couple of sizes and it's cheap. IMO it's easier to 'feel' than with the multi-guage tools. Bend one end and you can have it both ways ;-)

The angle ones work better I think. The straight ones seems to hit the hard when trying to get under the cam lobe. Just make sure you get one that has the real small sizes with it.

I bought a set at the local NAPA store and while it's primarily guaged in thousandths of an inch it does show the metric size as well. The set I bought had the smallest leaf at .002" which is also .051mm then it went up to .003, .004, etc.

I just did my valves on the 650B and it worked well. My compression discrepancy has largely disappeared as one valve was tight before.

see starrett metric stock, lower right Four strips, 0.03, 0.05, 0.10, and 0.15mm will do the trick
