Hi all,

just bought this little beauty:

just was wondering if these bafflers are stock, dunno if Kensei is THE brand which kawasaki used in the days.

If any of u have a diagram of the brackets used on the 4-2 i would love to have them so i can try to remake them (or let someone "cnc" them for me) would save me alot of measuring :)

yggy: What is the dimension center to center of the muffler studs? I have some triangular brackets made of steel that came off a H*nda that had "trumpet" mufflers like that. If they measure up the same, I'm sure they could work. Post here or pm me and we could figger sumthin out. :)

I just measured mine...3 1/8 inch c to c.

Well...measure twice, cut once!

Doesn't sound like a direct swap then.
I just made some exhaust hanger brackets out of stainless steel sheet stock from the hardware store and it was not too difficult using good tin snips, a sharp file and a drill. You can fab something with some basic skills I'm sure. :)

Good luck.

:evil: dont send her over here!:P hahaha.hang your header up there loose on motor, level it out and see where you like .then just start scratching your head,i like to make cardboard or paper patterns 1st so its easy to modify before you start making things out of steel.;) goodluck, happy wrenching!

the brackets are complex stamped steel polygon shape

they get used or trashed with aftermarket pipe fitment

not easy to find or remanufacture... but anything is possible

Hahaha! Good one! I rebuilt my carbs on our kitchen table, but made sure I had everything cleaned up before my wife got home from work. She did ask, "What's that funny smell?" :evil:

hi all, got another quick question for u people.

I was going to wrench this exhaust on me bike but found that the (dunno the right word in english) splitters (collets i believe) and plates you put against the exhaust outlets on the engine don't fit. the collets are too long it seems. And I have no idea what's used originally on this exhaust system. The collets and plates i do have wont fit this exhaust.

Can any of you explain what the correct english words are for these things? I want to order the originals somewhere but have to know the correct names of all those items..

//edit
:blush: clamp and collar I was looking for :P never mind found the words (crap language :P)
