Hey everyone,

God these bikes are great!!! I bought this old 1977 650 Kawa a couple of months ago and when I was doing some maintainance I noticed that the points cover had a crack in it from someone dropping her:angry: I was going to buy one off of Ebay but I started thinking, I can build one of those:) Then I started thinking, how can I make it really cool lookingB) Here is what I came up with.

Pretty coolB) Me thinks. I wipped this out on my lathe at home. It is made from scrap aluminum and bronze. I plan on replacing the cap screws when I can find some stainless ones. Also I might put one of those little led lights in there:)

Later, Wes

Is that Plexi? That looks really cool.I bet you could sell those. Now a suggestion...coming from my computer geek building background. Lots of computer cases have windows on the sides to show the goodies. Some have things etched on the plexi sides...Maybe KAWASAKI etched on it?I've never done it but if you google etched computer case window I bet you can find out how.

Thanks for the compliments!!! I sell all kinds of stuff already. The main problem is I have no time to build everything. That and my equipment is pretty old (1935 lathe) making my hobby stuff kinda slow. Right now I'm about 4 months behind as it is. I had to squeese this in ahead of some other stuff. It's good to be the boss:evil:

I made the lens out of glass. It is cushioned with silicon. If this fails I'll go to tempered glass. I have thought of having Kawasaki etched into it.

Maybe Lexan? I dunno but your talent is apparent. A colored LED would be cool as you mention.

The forum must resize the photos? They should be about 5" square or so?
