any one have any idea what size the tach cable into the block hole on a 80' 750 twin might be? leaks oil and the tach has'nt worked in a while so im just going to plug it for now.

i plugged one on a cb750 awhile back, it was a small spike that was actually made for that purpose, i bought it off ebay, looked cool, worked well. i'd just take the cable off and bring it with to the hardware store and find a pin the same size.

If you have a bad cable, cut the cable and slide the nut off it, then use a penny, nickle, dime, (whichever has the best fit) on the inside of the nut to form a cap, then slather some silicone on it to seal it up and install it on the tach drive.

That's the cheap and easy way :)
