GPZ 550 Unitrak 1982 clutch
04 May 2021 10:11
GPZ550, 82, unitrak.
When the spring-plate and all of the friction and steel plates are removed, and the bike is in 1-st gear, how mutch of the free play (left/right) should
the HUB-CLUTCH and/or the basket have?
On my bike: basket app. 10° radial and the HUB-CLUTCH app. 30° radial (before the rear wheel starts to spin).
It seems too much to me. What do You think?

Agree. That sound like way too much. No doubt the rubber bumpers in the hub have shrunk. I'm not sure if new bumpers are available though. Below is a 750 clutch hub with new bumpers.
