Has anyone bypassed the Air Suction System? Would a non USA Cyl. Head Cover fit?

My apologies if this is posted everywhere it isn't supposed to. Erred out due to no subject selected,,, then erred out no message after it removed the message. I am not sure if a topic icon is required! Hopefully this won't be posted a zillion times.

I haven't done it myself, but based on what I've read on here it will. However, I think you also need to plug the hole in the airbox that the other end of that system goes into.

I used the fat tube that comes off the system, cut it to length and connected it from one valve cover breather across to the other. Job done. I didnt have to bother with the airbox as I fitted pods but I reckon just cap the holes somehow and youll be ok.

You can also purchase block off plates from APE, or if you are handy with metal, you could make them yourself. At some point, you may want to take the cover off, thread the passages to the exhaust ports, and screw in some Allen head plugs. A rubber plug in the airbox will do the trick there.

There are no advantages to blocking them off.

There's no advantage to keeping them.
The advantage of junking them is less clutter , easier access under the tank and a mild weight loss.
