KZ1000A1 exhaust 4x2 question
08 Oct 2020 13:34
I just won a KZ1000A1 that has a 4x1 system. I'd prefer to try and replicate the original 4x2. Black-Widow exhausts in the UK has headers for the Kawasaki Zephyr. Does anyone know the port spacing on a Zephyr 1100 vs a KZ1000? I believe the Zephyr 750 headers fit KZ650s and KZ750s, so maybe the 1100 headers fit a KZ1000.
Alternatively, does anyone know of a source for a 4x2 replica exhaust. I know that OS pipes in the UK lists them to order made out of stainless, but they're in the UK and I'm in the USA so shipping will be very high, I would guess. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI use Jardine's that look a lot like LTD's, I like the sound and they slip on to the cut ends of stock pipes.
of course you have to find some stock pipes but they are out there.

Those Busso mufflers and headers look great in the marketing photos. But, in the other thread on the topic (that I did not come upon via search for some reason) cautions about their quality. A 50/50 chance of getting stuck with damaged, rusty or substandard items is a bit of a risk. Italian chrome never had a good reputation, look at old Ducatis! I will contact them, though, to see what the total cost shipped here will be. On a previous bike I used stock headers with Emgo Dunstall knock-off mufflers that look OK, but stock headers are now getting rarer than hen’s teeth, so the Busso option would be great if it’s relaible and “reasonably” priced (nothing ever is though, is it?).
Thanks for the info, guys.
