1976 kz400 crank side oil leak
25 Jun 2020 18:47
Hey all, my bike sat for a while and I got it running again recently. I've come across a pretty serious oil leak on the crank side near the kickstand mount. I'll attach a video below, but I'm curious if it is reparable without pulling the engine?

The most likely culprit under the sprocket cover is the shift shaft seal. They are usually pretty easy to replace.
By the way, there is no crank side, it goes all the way across the engine.

Thanks for the info!
here's a video of it running, I can only see that oil is dripping off the sprocket, which sits up from the shift shaft, so I'm thinking maybe the leak is in the sprocket seal?
