KZ750 - Engine Noise
09 May 2020 16:42
I've got a KZ750H that's not sounding as healthy as it should. It seems to struggle when coming back down to idle.
Here are a couple videos of the bike in action:
Is this normal? If not, and idea as to what my problem is?
Thanks,

Sounds like the primary chain is ratteling because your carbs are out of sync.

Is the bike new to you ?
Have you had it running without the noise ?
A big screwdriver with blade to the crankcase and handle to your ear (mechanics stethoscope) will confirm where the noise is coming from. The primary chain in the 750 does rattle and like Scirocco says this noise will diminish with a carb sync. It will never go totally away though. Mine rattles at anything less than 1,000 rpm and has been rattling for the last 50,000 km.
