Help to identify broken pieces.

Was working on a slipping clutch ( found a manual and adjusted it, works up to the 45 mph I got to in town). I pulled a plate off the left side to see if i could see the clutch and discovered the red stuff in the attached pics. It's brittle, kinda hard to describe. It is on wide rule notebook paper so you get an idea of it's size.
I just hope it's not major and I'm doing damage by riding it.
Included a pic of the cover, didn't have good light so I couldn't really see inside to find any more broken stuff.
Hope someone out there can help me.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationLacking a pic, I'll guess it's the friction plates or the friction plate adhesive which probably gets brittle over time. This could be a similar problem as the Rr brake shoes, so if you don't know the age of the brake shoes, replace them. When the adhesive fails, a lining can separate from a shoe, then get jammed between the shoe & drum, locking the Rr wheel. It happened to me, so it does happen.

... EB item to show reddish adhesive on NOS friction plates.

Friction material from an aftermarket clutch kit. Your gonna need new clutch disks.

Thanks, I've searched in here but didn't find anything specific to my bike. Is there a video or something about another bike that is close to mine?

I am confused by the first post. If you pulled a cover from the left side of the engine, you could not possibly see the clutch because it is on the right side. If that brittle red stuff is on the left side, it is the adhesive that holds the magnets on the generator together.
Yes, the clutch cable goes to the left side of the engine, but it operates a rod that goes through to the right side where the clutch lives. You really need to get a factory service manual before you go any farther.
