Anyone seen one made for the kz400s? I'd like to run without a tach but its been a struggle to find one. Have any suggestions or genius ways of making one?

Someone on FB told me a part number but when I asked the eBay seller they said wit wont fit my engine.

Part number 92066-060

Ideas?

It looks to me like the 400 uses basically the same setup as the larger bikes, so as long as the seals and gasket in the tach drive are in good shape, you can remove the cable without any problem. The seals and gasket are in the drive, not the cable.

If there isn't anything for the 400, maybe you could fab up one using the old cable end & a disk of some sort, and use teflon tape or thread-locker to keep it in place. not sure if this would work or if anything protrudes from the tach drive orifice. ???
