DIY exhaust build

Nice! I have a spare header looking to do something similar, what gas are you using with the mig?

using a standard ARGON/Co2 mix looking rounnd on the net that seemed to be the gas to use, plus thats what i already had! i think the dearest part would be the 316 welding wire luckily i had a roll which i won a few years ago. Dean

a small but time consuming amount done this afternoon. the silencer needs an end cap. cut off a piece of the tailpipe and made it fit inside and weded a plate on top i still need to drill an exit hole weded up the inside and ground to shape prgress so far still need to make mounts to secure to bike

Looks good! What are your finishing plans? Grind it all down and polish? Leave the beads?

I'll have to try that slit idea next time! I did pie cuts before and that would be so much easier.

going to have it blasted and then paint it black. spent too long before polishing stainless pipes only to watch it go brown
