Yes!
The only other stock cams with higher lift in any other model are the 83-85 1100A Unitrack or 1100r (same engine in both).

And the GPz1100 B1 & 2s. Not as hot as the Unitracks. I'll measure mine tomorrow and dig into a manual for some more specs.
.
Yes! B1 and B2 had fractionally more lift and duration too but hardly worth tracking down for an upgrade that you won't feel..
There's a reason why nobody ever said that stock cams from any other model than the 83 geep are what you need for a power upgrade.
What i should have said was that the 83 unitrack cams are the only stock cams that will give a noticable difference over any of the others.
The stock KZ 3 bolt cams are more than suited as a cheap readily available substitute for the stock J's and won't restrict it's performance.

My cams measured .360 intake and .340 exhaust, same as the 'J' model.
I'll post the specs out of the manual tomorrow.

So I got a set of 1977 KZ1000 cams. I measured them.

Lift on intake cam: .328"
Lift on exhaust cam: .296"

According to this post

(about halfway down)

The stock KZ1000 J cams should be

Intake .330"
Exhaust .346"

So the intake seems fine, but the exhaust is way off. Not sure what to do at this point besides buy some damn web cams.
