If applicable to the bike at hand, the exhaust clamps may have differing relieved areas for frame clearance.

Haha... I feel like an idiot.
I thought the split collar recessed inside the clamp. I’ll try again after coffee.
Though it looks like the collars and clamps may be incompatible.

Slide the clamps over the header and let em hang down...... then put a couple pieces of tape on each collar to hold them in place. A little high temp silicone can help keep the copper gaskets in place also being sure you're not leaving a old one. Don't try to use old ones. Hope things line up for ya. You still got the collector to fit right too.
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

They do and the ones shown don't look like they'll fit in the grooves. You could grind them so the lips will fit as long as there's still a little space between them. Another thing to look for is where they mate up with the flanges.

At this point, I feel like I’m being outsmarted be a piece of steel.
I have decided to look at this at a higher analytical level.
The diameter appears to be about the same as EMT. I’m going to experiment with making some.
