Do headers seat into exhaust ports?
22 May 2019 22:04
Hello everyone I have read the many post about how to install new headers/exhaust systems however I need to know I just installed my kerker 4 into 1 on my KZ1000 and the headers are not physically seating in the exhaust ports. Should they be? Thanks in advance.

Each header flange should seat into the exhaust port pressing against the copper gasket.
Perhaps one of the pipes has been slightly bent out of position?

Good Fortune!

Assuming the Kerker came with a muffler hanger bracket & hardware, does the muffler hanger fit right? maybe it's the wrong one for your model? also, you probably should tighten the muffler bracket bolts last.
