Number 2 misfire 82 550 LTD

My number 2 spark plug is constantly a wet fouled my compression is all testing above 124 + this is all on my 81 550 LTD c1 .
My regulator checks out my stator checks out .I do get shocked from my number two if I unplug it I've checked my grounds and they're all good the standard from the maintenance manual is 1 1/8 out on my air fuel mixture screw.
All plugs are good except my number two keep fouling out I've rebuild the carburetors set them to factory settings . Maybe my number two float is not adjusted right, I'm going to do that this next weekend. when I unplug my number two it does nothing to the motor when I adjust my number two air fuel mixture it does nothing to the motor. From what I understand it should bog down or idle right. When I adjust my air fuel mixture on number 1 ,3 and 4 it will bog down the motor or Iidle right but my number two does nothing if I unplug it or adjust the air-fuel mixture.

If your bike has a vacuum fuel tap and the vacuum line is connected to the number two cylinder, the the cause could be a hole in the fuel tap diaphragm.

One way to check this is to put a clamp on the vacuum line to block if off, set the fuel tap to prime and go for a test ride to confirm if the fault is fixed or not.

By HT I reckon he means the high tension leads from the coils to the spark plugs. Some folks call them spark plug wires . Generally, the caps screw on, so that connection is subject to corrosion. Unscrew the cap, snip off about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of the wire and reinstall. In most cases you can do the same at the coil end by unscrewing the compression ring and pulling out the wire. Snip and reinstall.
By the way, a vacuum operated petcock is also gravity feed. The difference is that it has a vacuum operated on/off valve so the rider does not have to turn it on and off manually.

Yeah I guess I was in to big of a hurry to think about it, I realized that is the spark plug wire LOL but I have trimmed off both ends I've used a different wire also and cap still wants to shocked me when I unplug it and my number 2 continues to foul out. I could actually hear the ark snapping in the plug cap.

Are you pulling the cap while the engine is running? That is not a good idea. Besides the nasty shock, that can damage the coil. The way to test for spark is to pull out the spark plug, stick it in the boot and lay it on the engine in a way that the plug is touching metal, not too close the the spark plug hole. Turn the key on and hit the starter just long enough to see a spark. It should be blue.

Yeah . I was trying to see if number two had effect on the running performance to see if the motor would bog down or not and of course it didn't do anything, the rest of the plugs would bog down the motor as soon as I unplug them I did switch to using insulated pliers . I did take the spark plug out and ground it to the bike and it has a nice blue white spark. What makes me go back to thinking that maybe the wet fouled plug is getting too much fuel but all of the air-fuel mixture screws are adjusted to spec. I did replace the coils just about a year ago with some Taiwan crap which after further inspection one already has a small crack in it but it's not the one that's fouling out the number 2 plug ,before I replace the coils I had the same issue with the number to fouling out.
