Hi All. Does anyone know if on the KZ1100 if the front and rear cam chain guides pull out with just the head off - or do you have to also have to remove the cylinder block as well? (does that just lift off too?)

You can't take them both out without removing the cylinder block. Front can with only the head off, not the rear.
