Putting my 750 back together for the season and have tracked down a leak between the carb holders and cylinder head while tuning. I know it's best to replace but mine are unobtainium part number 16065-1046. Took me a year to find NOS intake ducts but no luck on these whatsoever. Any suggestions on what I can use to seal these up to the cylinder head? I removed them without an issue when I redid the head and they are in good shape but hardened on the head side therefore causing them to leak when installed and torqued dry. I searched but got varying answers on it.

Three bond reportedly holds up longer than silicone sealant.

Hopefully someone else might know of something superior to Three Bond for this particular application.

I was thinking about that. This looks promising as well but can't find any experience for the application :

I use a thin amount of Permatex.

I've used Permatex with good results. I never use it ANYWHERE else.

Whatever. If they are that red color fibered? Or any? I always would fine sand them with a wet sandpaper 400-600 grit. Smooth them out even.
Then "HYLOMAR" Blue Hylomar! The Only! Best Stuff ever! Not the original. But as good! Comes in aerosol or tube form. Never hardens, stays pliable. Google it!
The only stuff that would seal "ELMER TRETT's top fuel Kawasaki engine's head! When we raced in the 80's & 90's. Fastest bike in the world at the time!
It's a little pricey, but worth it. HYLOMAR amazon sells it the cheapest.
I will debate anyone on this product!

Nope, but I'd love to have one.

Pics below, as you can see the carb end is in good shape and pliable. Back side is a little flat and hard, hoping I can get by with a little bead of something and put these back to use.

It looks like good stuff. Their website says it never sets. That's good, but does it become firm enough that it won't be drawn by the intake vacuum through the carb holder cracks into the engine? Thanks, Ed

z1kzonly is right, Blue Hylomar is the best. Your rubber boots have enough rubber thickness for a resurface.
You can renew/flatten the rubber boot surface with a light wet sanding on a glass plate. Use 400 - 600 grit.

The earlier 750 twin carb boots are available from cruzin image. Will they work on the later bikes?

I was curious about sanding them a bit but was a little concerned with the scarcity of them.

Different size bores, the early used BS38 and the later BS34.
