3 mysterious holes on engine

Me and my brother bought a 75 Kz400 last week. We tested the compression and checked it out as best we could. On Friday we got it to start and shortly after celebrating we noticed these 3 holes located on top of the case. Are we screwed or do you think we can get it repaired?

Those are normal. When the wire holder is in place and sprocket cover installed, the two smaller holes will have bolts in them. The big hole just lets fuel overflow exit through the sprocket cover rather than having a lake of gasoline on the engine.

The holes don't go into the engine. They only go to the sprocket area which is full of grime anyway.

Here's a look from the sprocket area (with sprocket cover removed). The arrow points to the big drain hole. The small hole above that is for the wire holder. The other small hole is for the sprocket cover bolt.

Okay awesome! Thanks so much! We are pretty new at this and were kinda bummed especially after getting it to crank.
