78 kz650 engine seizure or other issue?

Hi everyone,
I just went out to start up my bike after letting it sit for a few days and had something weird happen. I kicked it over twice without it firing and  went to kick it a third time but it wouldn’t even turn over. I hit the starter button and it cranked twice then stopped. I hit it again and the same thing happened again. Hit it a third time and it cranked like normal and eventually fired up then died when adjusting the choke. While it was running it was smoking out of both pipes but more heavily out of the one for cyl 1&2. I checked the header and cyl 2 was cold when 1&3 were hot and 4 was warm. I pulled the plugs and 2 was soaked and 4 was wet but not as bad. I plan on replacing the plugs and would like to check the coils but am not sure how. The valve clearance was checked last fall and all appeared to be within spec. Points are new and timing is good as well. Any ideas on what else to check? I’d like to start with the less invasive options because I already got one lease violation for changing my oil in the parking lot LOL.

(Bike is a 78 kz650 B2A)
Thanks!

I wonder if the petcock allowed fuel into the carbs causing them to overflow and fill up the cylinders?  Better check the oil level and petcock function.

That’s a good idea, I’ll check it out. It’s weird thought because last week it was starting first kick

Typo?  Cylinders 2 & 4 are on different coils.  One coil is for cylinders 1 & 4 the other is for cylinders 2 & 3.  Ed

I would bet money on this explanation.
